Introducing solutions to three challenges in regenerative medicine research: "autofluorescence," "easy target cell isolation," and "cell evaluation without invasion/staining"!

Issue 1: Autofluorescence Cell-specific autofluorescence often hinders accurate flow cytometry analysis. Sony's spectral cell analyzers ID7000 and SA3800 resolve this issue with their autofluorescence removal feature. Issue 2: Easy Target Cell Sorting Previous cell sorters have been considered difficult to use due to issues such as flow path troubles. With Sony's cell sorters MA900 and SH800S, the adoption of disposable sorting chips and the inclusion of fully automated setup functions allow anyone to easily sort target cells. Issue 3: Non-invasive/Non-staining Cell Evaluation Live cell imaging, which evaluates the condition and changes of cells, uses various fluorescent dyes, but it cannot eliminate the effects of the reagents used on the cells. Modeling congenital heart muscle abnormalities using stem cells! A case where efficiency has significantly improved by using a lab-exclusive cell sorter.

We would like to introduce a case study of the "Cell Sorter SH800S" used at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Cell and Molecular Medicine. In research on the maturation of cardiomyocytes, it was necessary to demonstrate that the cultured cells were truly mature cells. Therefore, using this product, we sorted in vitro human and mouse cardiomyocytes on a plate based on the expression of GFP and RFP introduced into iPS cell lines, and compared them with in vivo adult cardiomyocytes. Various functional assays and genomic assays were conducted on these cells, demonstrating that they were equivalent to genuine mature cells.
